Official Pageant Rules and Regulations
To be eligible to compete in the 2011 Miss Cy-Fair Houston Pageant, all entrants must:
- Be a female not less than 15 years of age or no more than 19 years of age as of March 27, 2010. Contestant must be classified as a high school junior or senior.
- Reside in the Cy-Fair Independent School District or have a physical home address within the CFISD boundaries or be home-schooled or be enrolled in a public or private school with an address within the CFISD boundaries.
- Be of good moral character and have never been convicted of a Class C misdemeanor or greater offense. With the exception of a Class C misdemeanor traffic ticket.
- Have never been married, divorced or had a marriage annulled.
- Have never had a child or be pregnant on the date of the Pageant or at any time thereafter while serving as 2010 Miss Cy-Fair Houston.
- Not appeared in public or permitted oneself to photographed in partial or total nudity, or lewd, compromising or sexually suggestive manner; doing so would constitute a violation of eligibility.
- Not currently hold the title as a winner of any pageant. ␣ Be an ‘amateur’ with no paid professional experience in modeling, dancing, acting or similar theatrical or entertainment vocation. “Amateur” means the entrant has NOT been compensated more than a total of $3,000 in the entrant’s lifetime.
- Agree to be present at dress rehearsal on Friday, March 26, 2010 at 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm; Failure to attend will disqualify you from participating in the pageant.
- Understand that qualified contestants will be required to wear a black cocktail dress (modestly cut at neckline and length and an evening gown.
- If selected as 2010 Miss Cy-Fair Houston, agree to appear at all functions requested by the Cy-Fair Houston Chamber of Commerce that do not unreasonably interfere with entrant’s school performance. Entrant understands that these functions are to take priority over entrant’s other extracurricular activities.
- Agree that all decisions of the Pageant Judges and Committee are final and may not be contested by the entrant or anyone acting on behalf of entrant for any reason whatsoever.
- Understand that if contestant is one of the 50 qualified contestants; they will be responsible for entry fee. Entry fees may either be paid individually or by a business sponsor.
- Understand that securing a business sponsor is the responsibility of the contestant.
- Agree that cell phones are NOT allowed behind stage or in the dressing room during the pageant. Failure to comply will disqualify contestant from participating in the pageant.
Failure to abide by these rules and regulations could disqualify me from the Pageant and my reign as “Miss Cy-Fair Houston”.
